Northeast Oil & Gas honors Pittsburgh-based company during gala
PITTSBURGH – For a second consecutive year, Deep Well Services (DWS) has earned the prestigious Northeast Oil & Gas Award for Excellence in Health and Safety.
Deep Well Services accepted the award during the 2018 Northeast Oil & Gas Awards gala dinner held March 1 at the Westin Convention Center in Pittsburgh.
“Earning this award two years in a row has a special significance to our Deep Well Services team,” said Mark Marmo, President and CEO of DWS. “We take very seriously our slogan, ‘Safety First – One Team, One Family.’ This award is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our entire field organization under the leadership of our Safety professionals.”
Last year, DWS achieved the American Petroleum Institute (API) Specification Q2 certification for drilling service providers and the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems (QMS) certification.
Northeast Oil & Gas judges noted, “As one of only 88 service companies to achieve API Specification Q2 certification, and the only snubbing organization to do so, it is clear that Deep Well Services is going above and beyond in its efforts to assure safety. To be named in the same ranks as the likes of Halliburton and Schlumberger is a huge achievement.”
At Deep Well Services, safety and quality are both a priority and a value. DWS is the only snubbing and workover company in the Northeast to have a competency level-based training program that provides its field staff not only jobs, but careers.
DWS implemented this training program to enable each individual to move up in the company at their own pace. Thus, they are competent and proficient in the role they have been assigned.
“It is clear from the entry that Health and Safety is at the forefront of everything that Deep Well Services does,” the awards judges noted. “The stats, including 48 months and more than 1-million man-hours without an LTI, backs this up.”
Deep Well Services also won the Northeast Oil & Gas 2017 Award for Excellence in Health and Safety.
